Snail Mail

When was the last time you actually sat down and wrote a letter (or even a postcard) to someone? More than just the ritual Christmas card or even birthday card, but an actual note with substance. It seems the art of letter writing is fading fast all thanks to e-mail, IM, twitter, and other instant means of communication.

Like so many, I don’t do this often enough either. But I also know how I feel when I get a letter or card in the mail that isn’t a bill or some other junk mail about hail damage to my roof. And when I do, I wonder why I don’t do this more often.

So today I encourage you to take 5 minutes and write a note, a card, even a post it note if that’s all you have, and send it to someone. It doesn’t have to be flowery or verbose, just something to let them know you were thinking about them. You’ll brighten their day – and I’m betting yours too.

  1. Hey girl! Just wanted to wish you the best of luck with your conference in Franklin! (If I can do it, YOU can do it… )

  2. Thanks. I’m really looking forward to it.
